　　Between January and September, natudisasters affected 480 million people natiowide, resulting in the evacuation or relocatof 9.12 million people. The disasters aincurred a combined direct economic lossmore than 302.8 billion yuan ($44.33 billio“Onaverage, natural disastersco2.38 percent of China’s GDP in the past years,” said Fan Yida, chief engineer with NDRC.
