1988年，75位諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)金獲得者在巴黎宣言：“人類要在21世紀(jì)生存下去，必須回首2500年前，從孔子那里尋找智慧�！� 　　最近，由孔子中國(guó)畫(huà)院院長(zhǎng)、曲阜市旅游品行會(huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)、金龍閣經(jīng)理張錫洋策劃、設(shè)計(jì)，曲阜師范大學(xué)李天辰教授翻譯，美國(guó)學(xué)者John Harris Kirkley校對(duì)，中華書(shū)局出版發(fā)行的漢英對(duì)照、古典線裝、橫式編排的《論語(yǔ)》面向海內(nèi)外出版發(fā)行，受到了世界各地學(xué)者的青睞。
　　《論語(yǔ)》是孔子生前與弟子答問(wèn)的語(yǔ)言和孔子言行的記錄，是儒家學(xué)派最經(jīng)典的著作�？鬃颖涣袨槭澜绻糯�十大思想家之首�？鬃觿�(chuàng)立的儒家學(xué)說(shuō)，歷經(jīng)2500余年長(zhǎng)盛不衰，對(duì)中國(guó)乃至世界影響深遠(yuǎn)。《論語(yǔ)》內(nèi)容涉及到教學(xué)、政治、文化、仁義、道德、禮樂(lè)、中庸等10卷20篇512條。具有中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化重要內(nèi)容的儒家思想，其哲理深?yuàn)W，蘊(yùn)含著人類思想中一些普遍性、特殊性等各種因素，大能治國(guó)，小能治家，如“道之以政，齊之以刑，民免而無(wú)恥；道之以德，齊之以禮，有恥且格”。《論語(yǔ)》是孔子思想最集中的反映，也是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化和思想的合作，被歷代封建王朝奉為治國(guó)的圭臬，來(lái)鞏固自己統(tǒng)治的地位，有“半部《論語(yǔ)》治天下”之說(shuō)�！墩撜Z(yǔ)》有著它獨(dú)特的治理國(guó)家之道，發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)之道，社會(huì)管理之道和人倫道之道。因此，孔子的學(xué)說(shuō)被推崇為東方文明的象征，特別是日本、韓國(guó)、美國(guó)、法國(guó)、德國(guó)的許多人崇拜孔子，信仰孔子。目前，世界許多學(xué)者對(duì)于《論語(yǔ)》的學(xué)習(xí)和研究盛行，希望從中得到啟示，以便解決人類面臨的一些政治、文化、經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展和倫理問(wèn)題。
　　為弘揚(yáng)中華民族優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化，便于海內(nèi)外人士學(xué)習(xí)研究《論語(yǔ)》，總策劃張錫洋花費(fèi)了兩年多的時(shí)間，廣泛征求海內(nèi)外儒學(xué)研究專家意見(jiàn)，收集了大量相關(guān)文字和圖畫(huà)資料，策劃了這套獨(dú)特的《論語(yǔ)》版本，使之服務(wù)于整個(gè)人類社會(huì)。該書(shū)的出版發(fā)行，將對(duì)促進(jìn)世界和平和政治、文化、經(jīng)濟(jì)及思想領(lǐng)域的交流與發(fā)展起到積極的推動(dòng)作用。
　　該書(shū)配有明代版《孔子圣跡圖》。廣陵古籍刻印社采用活字傳統(tǒng)工藝在米宣上印制，封皮、封套以藍(lán)色提花真絲綾精裱，分上、下冊(cè)，盒式套封函裝，典雅厚重，圖文并茂，裝訂古樸考究，是中國(guó)首創(chuàng)英漢對(duì)照古典線裝橫排編排格式。
　　
　　Recently, the publication of Chinese-English The Analects, a thread-bound edition printed in horizontal arrangement, which is planned and designed by Zhang Xiyang, the president of Confucian Institution of Chinese Paintings, Chairman of Qufu Tourism Products Association, and Manager of Jinglong Pavilion, translated by Professor Li Tianchen from Qufu Teachers’ University, polished by Dr. John Harris Kirkley from the Unites States of America, published and issued by Chung Hwa Book Co., has found favor in the eyes of scholars all over the world.
　　The Analects is the most classical works that collects Confucius’ dialogues with his disciples and his owns words. The Confucianism created by him, lasting more than 2500 years in the Chinese history, has exerted great influence on the China and even the world, and nowadays, it is still very influential worldwide. The contents of The Analects involve teaching, politics, culture, humanity and justice, morality, rites and music, and doctrine of he mean. Compiled in parts, 20 chapters and 51 sections, The Analects covers the important contents of the traditional Chinese Confucianism thought. The deep philosophy hidden in it reflects the universal and special factors of the human thinking, which in the macroscopic scope, can be applied to the administration of a country, and in the microscope, can be applied to manage a family as Confucius said: “If you govern the people legalistically and control them by punishment, they will avoid crime, but have no personal sense of shame. If you govern them by means of virtue and control them with propriety, they will gain their own sense of shame, and thus correct themselves.” The Analects is a concentration of Confucius’ thought as well as the crystallization of the traditional Chinese culture. For successive dynasties, it has been regarded as a classical book applied to administrating the country.
